The book group will meet on the Wednesdays of Lent, beginning on Wednesday, February 17th. Abraham: A Journey through Lent , by Meg Warner is available on the Amazon and Barnes and Noble websites. Order the book yourself, or let Catherine know that you will need a copy of the book.
Next Sunday – Souper Bowl collection for tackling hunger and poverty. It began over 25 years ago with a simple prayer : “Lord as we enjoy the Super Bowl, help us to be mindful of those without a bowl of soup to eat.” Money collected will be used to buy food for the Village Harvest Food Distribution. Canned goods also count for Souper Bowl tallies! Please bring chili making ingredients– cans of kidney beans, or other type of beans, dried beans and cans of tomatoes—diced or crushed.
Grow your spiritual life during Lent. Intergenerational Education on Sundays in Lent will be Growing a Rule of Life at 9am. This series focuses on God as the Chief Gardener of our souls, and we seek out ways to grow into the fullness God desires for each one of us. Church Next is presenting free online courses during Lent around racial justice. The first one is from Presiding Bishop Michael Curry. All of these courses are available at https://www.churchnext.tv/.
