Welcome to St Peter’s!  Our hope is that you will find God’s love present with you in this place and that you will return here often.

Our communion bread is gluten free.

On Pentecost, the Holy Spirit was bestowed upon the apostles. Pentecost is a time of renewal for Christian believers. Through studying the story of Pentecost, many seek and pray for spiritual gifts for the church during this time of holy celebration.

Happy Birthday! – Bill Wick (May 19), Wendy Gayle (May 21), Justin Long (May 24)

Come together for a four week series that begins next week, May 26 at 10AM on Sunday morning.  “Affirming our Faith” will cover information about what it means to be a Christian, specifically in the Episcopal Church.  Those who are preparing for the Bishop’s visit will be attending, and everyone else is also welcome.  Come share some food, fun and learning for these four Sundays.  Bring your questions.

Next Sunday is Trinity Sunday.  The 9AM service will be Morning Prayer, Rite I, and the 11AM service will be the celebration of the Holy Eucharist.

Spring Cleaning!  Clean out those closets, basements and attics and find new homes for those items you no longer need.  The ECW will have several tables at the Bowling Green Clean Sweep on Saturday, June 1 and will sell your items to raise money for missions all over the world.  Call Eunice (804) 241-5395 for more information or to volunteer.

Next Sunday we will begin the collection of the United Thank Offering.  This offering, collected by the ECW, is in thanksgiving for our many blessings, goes to help those in need throughout the world.

All are welcome to join the ECW for a tour of Ginter Gardens in Richmond, Virginia, on Thursday, June 6th.  If you’d like to go, give Marion Mahoney a call (804) 742-5445, & be at St Peter’s by 10:30AM.

The Day of PENTECOST

May 19, 2013, 11AM

“When the day of Pentecost had come, the disciples were all together in one place. And suddenly from heaven there came a sound like the rush of a violent wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. Divided tongues, as of fire, appeared among them, and a tongue rested on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave them ability.” – Acts 2:1-4
