The Village Harvest was in the middle of Feb on the 16th on a beautiful winter day and also on one of the milder days and we served 90 clients. While down in numbers of clients served from the prior 3 months (Nov 97,Dec. 115, Jan 90), the inventory of food at 1635 pounds was the largest since March, 2021 and also surpassed the 12 month running average of 1,214. Produce was 22%, grocery 48% and meat 31%. The were higher percentages of meat and lower of produce. (Meat is usually 20% and under and produce 30%+)
Pounds received per client was 18 and exceeded the 12 months average of 17. The value per shopper was $109 at $6 pound. This was a beneficial distribution!
