This was our first Village Harvest “drive through” instead of a market based distribution.

Here are 30 seconds of getting this harvest together in a new format followed by a review of the harvest over the first quarter compared to previous years:

The above graphic is a measure of Village Harvest activity for the first quarter over 4 years.

This quarter we are down in most indicators. March 18, saw 108 people visit the church in the first distribution by bags instead of a market style distribution. This was down from 121 last month. Total numbers this quarter were 311 down from 322 a year ago. Last year is down from earlier years since we no longer call clients.

Foods served were reduced which impacted the other charts food served in pounds, value per person and value. Still, those who came on March 18, received food value with an estimate value at $65.

In general our figures on foods served are below that of 2018 and 2019 but above 2016 and 2017. The cost of the ministry is $494 this quarter, again down from 2018 but above earlier years, in this case 2017.
