Village Harvest, April 17, 2019 – some new shoppers

We served 125 in April, the largest number of the year with 1,479 pounds of food. The pounds were the 2nd lowest of the year in combination with the highest numbers. Still, the value per shopper was just under $87 at $6 a pounds.

For the first 4 months of the year we have served 447 people which is under the previous 2 years. However, pounds of food per person is at 14.25 per month close to 2018 at 15.20, the highest to date, and above the 2017 at 9.28 and 2016 at 9.51 pounds.

Besides the food and a “Hersey Kiss” in April, we provided the following “Easter Greetings”:

“Be strong and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the Lord.” Psalm 31:24

“We all wish you a blessed Easter. Just as Jesus was resurrected from the dead and brought to new life, so we pray for you that in this season of Easter, you will find release from your troubles, and that you will open your heart to God’s resurrection promises for you. God’s desire for all of us is health and salvation, and most of all, the peace that passes all understanding, the peace that only God can give. May you be richly blessed with God’s goodness. “
