Village Harvest, August 17, 2016

Usually we just give out gifts during the Village Harvest distributions  but we got one back today! Helmut presented Catherine with a blue processional cross that is designed for children. It is much lighter and they expect to be more manageable than the one we have which will continue to be used by the adults. This blue cross is probably the only such cross in the Diocese. Thanks Helmut!

We served approximately 105 people today, 871 pounds of food.

We gave out blueberries, cauliflower, cucumbers, tomatoes, and chicken.  Also, some school supplies, cereal, tuna and other canned goods. Totals:

  • 511 pounds of produce.
  • 118 pounds of groceries, mixed (canned goods, etc).
  • 242 pounds of meat.

Statistics

->Through August, 2016, year to date we have served 858 people and given out 8,128 pounds of food, including produce, cans, and  meat
