Village Harvest, Oct. 19 – Equalling a record

We served 138 people, the same number in Sept, the highest numbers in the almost two year program. We had on hand  261 pounds of lemons and tomatoes, 453 pounds of canned goods,  130 lbs of meat, and many pounds of white goods.

Over the first ten months of 2016, 1,134 people have been served compared  to 799 in the same period in 2015. Numbers served are running 1.4 times higher. The average number of people served per month has risen from 83 to 113.  Food supplies are running even higher – 1.7 times compared to last year.

A number of other things went on.- a pet blessing for Mini,  washing of Parish house windows plus at the end some brilliant sunshine that came through the graveyard.
