Village Dinner, Aug. 3, 2016

Spotlight above on those who made this dinner a success! 

Last week’s announcements in the bulletin provided the menu – "This Wednesday’s Village Dinner, Aug. 3 at 5pm features baked fish, roasted red potatoes, spinach salad and lemon lush for dessert." This doesn’t say who was responsible and should get the credit. 

Andrea cooked her tasty fish, Eunice the Lemon Lush which we have featured in one of our newsletters, Cookie, a fresh salad featuring items from Johnny’s garden, and Betty, the potato dish, one that you can’t stop eating! Helping out were Karen in serving and Cindy washing dishes.

This is another example of the church’s outreach to the community. 

Several of the above ladies, Eunice, Cookie and Betty,  have been responsible for every food initiative in the last 10 years – The Village Dinner 2005, The Royal Caterers 2008, Village Harvest 2014 – and have continued to put their time and talent in the kitchen.
