St. Peter’s parishioners at the dedication of the Port Royal History Museum, Nov. 18, 2012

St. Peter’s parishioners were very active in both the creation and dedication of this new museum. Cookie, Eunice and Cindy have served on the Board and helped with display of items. Cookie told the story of  the difficult effort of transporting presidential china from several administrations to the mueum. Cookie has also given Sidney King paintings to the museum

At the dedication, Cookie and Mike were at the front with Mike leading everyone in the National Anthem.

Nancy, Phyllis Sue and Bill contributed toward the reception food.

Phyllis’ cakes were a big hit.

Catherine provided the prayer for the dedication, pictured here with Clio, the president of Historic Port Royal.

The museum is free and features the collection of Herb Collins and the Skinner family.  It is in the former Union Bank branch on Rt. 301.
