The Season of Giving Oct 29- Dec. 10 was our time to support local, national and international charities. Thanks to all who contributed. The results are as follows.

  4. ECM Thanksgiving -$435.00. The men took three families Thanksgiving dinner.
  5. ECM Christmas. $700. 3 families received food and gifts for the children.

     Family #1 –a mother with three children – ages 9 months, 1 ½ and 2 years old.

     Family #2 — a mother with five children – ages 1 ½, 3, 6, 7 and 9 years old.

     Family #3 — a mother and father with four children – ages 4, 8, 10 and 15 years old.

Helmut Linne von Berg describes delivering Christmas to these families:

“Yesterday, 22 December, we delivered Christmas gifts to our three families according to our arrangements made with your office (“Dept of Social Service”).  We turned all items purchased for the foster home family to “Angel;” she seemed to know about the case.

“We had made arrangements with the other two families to deliver the goods after 4:00 PM.  The children had been sent to grandparents and other locals so that we could unload the toys without the little ones seeing us.  It went well and the folks were very thankful. The gifts consisted of appropriate food for the holidays, clothing and toys for the children, including five bicycles.”
