Parish Meeting, 2022 reflecting on a favorable year

We had 15 people and 5 on Zoom for the meeting. The purpose was to 2 elect two new Vestry Members – Elizabeth Heimbach, Helmut Linne von Berg and to accept a 2 year extension in Robert Bryan’s term since we only elected one Vestry member last year.

The reports were distributed yesterday.

Jim Heimbach spoke on the growth of the balance sheet, the church’s resources with assets increasing from 281,258.71 in 2020 to 322,820.09 at the end of 2021. Most of this is in the investment area – Endowment fund from $69,333.18 to $80,149.28 and the investment fund from $139,435.80 to $170,759.99

The significant item was the recent establishment of the Sacred Ground scholarship. It began with $500 from the Vestry and a separate gift of $500. It was announced today that is now up to $2,000.

Becky Fisher was thanked for her role as Senior Warden.

Eunice Key who ended here Vestry term was honored for not only serving on the Vestry but serving in many aspects church ministry from the ECW, Village Harvest and Village Dinners. She was responsible for naming of the “Village Harvest” Indeed, the key word for her is “service”.

The congregation was given a chance to ask questions. Several commented on the church ministry involvement in 2021.

Ben Hicks was honored with two jars of peanuts for work in communications.
