Congregational Meeting – Jan 16, 2011

St. Peter’s held its yearly Congregational meeting.  The first part of the meeting featured reports by the Catherine Hicks, Alex Long, Linda Beck, Marian Mahoney and Clarence Kunstmann which covered Parish life over the last year.

The 2010 Vestry was thanked by Alex, Linda and Catherine for a job well done despite the challenges of a dead cat, a new priest, completion of the belfry. Alex praised the "tireless work of volunteers" for "Village dinners newsletters, emails of news and prayers, altar duty, flowers, acolytes, LEMs, calendars, outreach, the choir, and many other efforts." Linda noted work done on the outside of the church – replenishing the parking lot and driveway with sand, replacment bricks on the portico, yard work, and a reinstalled fence. Marian summarized the work of the ECW in numbers of donations and the activities over 2010. Clarence provided the good news of a financial surplus though he cautioned we have challenges ahead in 2011.

The 2010 Vestry was invited forward to be acknowledged by the Congregation. Two new replacement Vestry members were then elected. Congratulations to Cookie Davis and Eunice Key for being elected.  While they were being elected, Catherine held a Bible and Church history quiz, assisted by Tucker Fisher.
