We held our second community dinner Sat night Sept 3, 2011 with 16 people from the town enjoying Stanley’s hotdogs, baked beans, chips and several beverages. Attendance was down from 25 from the June dinner. We think it was due in part to this dinner being postponed from last week to this weekend which is a 3 day weekend. Many people are still cleaning up from the recent weather related events. 21 others from the Church and extended families also helped put it on the event, sponsored by the Evening ECW and the ECM groups
Despite the lower attendance, we added two activities. One of the goals of this dinner was to give out school supplies. We gave out 14 book bags and numerous supplies. We ran out of bags and have to purchase 4 more. Becky and Chris Fisher also provided the entertainment with face painting. The next dinner is currently scheduled for Nov. 12. In the meantime here is a slideshow of today’s dinner.
