Morning Prayer, Rite I
The Ringing of the Bell
Thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy,”I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.” Isaiah 57:15
Let us humbly confess our sins unto Almighty God. (Silence is kept.)
Almighty and most merciful Father, we have erred and strayed from thy ways like lost sheep, we have followed too much the devices and desires of our own hearts, we have offended against thy holy laws, we have left undone those things which we ought to have done, and we have done those things which we ought not to have done. But thou, O Lord, have mercy upon us, spare thou those who confess their faults, restore thou those who are penitent, according to thy promises declared unto mankind in Christ Jesus our Lord; and grant, O most merciful Father, for his sake, that we may hereafter live a godly, righteous, and sober life, to the glory of thy holy Name. Amen
The Almighty and merciful Lord grant you absolution and remission of all your sins, true repentance, amendment of life, and the grace and consolation of his Holy Spirit. Amen.

The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by
the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead, and buried. He descended into hell. The third day
he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven, and sitteth
on the right hand of God the Father almighty. From thence he shall
come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost, the
holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of
sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen

Almighty God, we commend to your gracious care and keeping all the men and women of our armed forces at home and abroad, especially those on our prayer list. (Read prayer list here). Defend them day by day with your heavenly grace; strengthen them in their trials and temptations; give them courage to face the perils which beset them; and grant them a sense of your abiding presence wherever they may be; through Jesus Christ, our Lord. A General Thanksgiving

Almighty God, who hast given us grace at this time with one

hast promised through thy well-beloved Son that when two

midst of them: Fulfill now, O Lord, our desires and petitions

St. Francis Day is also on Saturday, October 4 from 11AM to 1PM at Charter Day. Bring your pet to the St Peter’s table for a blessing, or you can pick up Blessings and Treats to Go if your pet is not with you.

New Food Ministry Initiative
In an effort to make fresh food more available to those in our area in need of food, the ECW is going to head up a new project. This month we will be gathering the names of those who would like to receive a bag of food, including fresh seasonal produce and a recipe providing information about how to cook the food. The first distribution will take place in November. Please watch the bulletin for more information. This project will take everyone’s help in order to be successful.
