The Ringing of the Bell
I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord.” Psalm 122:1
Let us confess our sins against God and our neighbor (Silence is kept)
God of all mercy, we confess that we have sinned against you, opposing your will in our lives. We have denied your goodness in each other, in ourselves, and in the world you have created. We repent of the evil that enslaves us, the evil we have done, and the evil done on our behalf. Forgive, restore, and strengthen us through our Savior Jesus Christ, that we may abide in your love and serve only your will. Amen.
Almighty God have mercy on you, forgive you all your sins through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen you in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep you in eternal life. Amen.

Lord, open our lips.
And our mouth shall proclaim your praise
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit; as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen

O come, let us worship.

The Sermon
The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and
earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord. He
was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the
Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died,
and was buried. He descended to the dead. On the third day he
rose again. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand
of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the
dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the
communion of saints, the forgivenss of sins, the resurrection of
the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

The Peace of the Lord be always with you.
And with your Spirit
The Prayers
The Lord be with you.
And also with you.
Let us pray.
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name, thy kingdom
come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we
forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into
temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and
the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.
Suffrages
Help us, O God our Savior:
Deliver us and forgive us our sins.
Look upon your congregation.
Give to your people the blessing of peace.
Declare your glory among the nations;
And your wonders among all peoples.
Do not let the oppressed be shamed and turned away;
Never forget the lives of your poor.
Continue your loving-kindness to those who know you;

A Collect for the Renewal of Life
O God, the King eternal, whose light divides the day from the night
and turns the shadow of death into the morning: Drive far from us all
wrong desires, incline our hearts to keep your law, and guide our feet
into the way of peace; that having done your will with cheerfulness
during the day, we may, when night comes, rejoice to give you thanks;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
For those in the Armed Forces of our Country
Almighty God, we commend to your gracious care and keeping all the
men and women of our armed forces at home and abroad, especially
those on our prayer list. (Read prayer list here). Defend them day by
day with your heavenly grace; strengthen them in their trials and
temptations; give them courage to face the perils which beset them;
and grant them a sense of your abiding presence wherever they may be;
through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Prayers for the Sick
Heavenly Father, giver of life and health; Comfort and relieve your sick
servants, especially those on our prayer list. (Read prayer list here).
Give your power of healing to those who minister to their needs, that
they may be strengthened in their weakness and have confidence in
your loving care; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
We pray especially today for Genevieve Davis. O heavenly Father, be
near her in her time of weakness and pain, sustain her by your grace,
and let her rest in the blessed assurance of your eternal love and
presence with her, now and always, through Jesus Christ, our Savior.
Amen.
A General Thanksgiving
Almighty God, Father of all mercies, we your unworthy servants give
you humble thanks for all your goodness and loving-kindness to us and
to all whom you have made. We bless you for our creation,
preservation, and all the blessings of this life; but above all for your
immeasurable love in the redemption of the world by our Lord Jesus
Christ; for the means of grace, and for the hope of glory. And we pray,
give us such an awareness of your mercies, that with truly thankful
hearts we may show forth your praise, not only with our lips, but in
our lives, by giving up ourselves to your service, and by walking before
you in holiness and righteousness all our days; through Jesus Christ
our Lord, to whom, with you and the Holy Spirit, be honor and glory
throughout all ages. Amen.
Glory to God, whose power, working in us, can do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine: Glory to him from generation to generation in the Church, and in Christ Jesus for ever and ever. Amen.

Vacation Bible School –for children through fifth grade will be held Monday, July 28 through Thursday, July 31, 10am-12pm. Please let Becky Fisher know if you are interested in volunteering and thanks to all who have already agreed to help.
Update on the organ bellows. We have $3,588 left to collect out of our $14,000 goal. Donations can be made to St Peter’s, with “Organ Bellows” in the memo line. The bellows will be removed for the leather repairs on July 8.>
