Welcome to St Peter’s! We are celebrating our 175th anniversary today, and we are so glad to have family and friends here rejoicing with us! Our hope is that you will find God’s love present with you in this place and that you will return here often to worship.
Among our special guests this morning helping to lead the service are Paige Martindale, guest organist; Mary Lawrence Hicks, trumpet; The Rev. Amy Porterfield Turner, and The Rev. Charles R. Sydnor, Jr.
Please join us for a picnic lunch on the grounds immediately following this service, and stay for our afternoon service which focuses on the history of St Peter’s at 2PM. Tours of the church are also available.
Food Drive. Please bring nonperishable food items to help the many families in the area who are in need.

The ECW will meet this Wednesday, May 18, at 2PM in the Parish House.
Christian Education resumes next Sunday at at 10AM. The adults are exploring the four Gospels in a new way based on the book The Hidden Power of the Gospels by Dr. Alexander Shaia. The Gospel according to John is up next. The children are learning about Eucharist.
Ecumenical Bible study meets every Wednesday from 10AM until noon in the Parish House. We are studying the Gospel according to Matthew.
Easter Blessing
May Almighty God, who has redeemed us and made us his children through the resurrection of his Son our Lord, bestow on you the riches of his blessing. AMEN
May God, who through the water of baptism has raised us from sin into newness of life, make you holy and worthy to be united with Christ for ever. AMEN
May God who has brought us out of bondage to sin into true and lasting freedom in the Redeemer, bring you to your eternal inheritance. AMEN
And the blessing of God Almighty, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, be upon you and remain with you forever. AMEN
