Meditation and Study
Keeping a daily journal is a simple means of assisting our prayer and study. Have a loose leaf or spiral notebook conveniently at had as you reflect on whatever spiritual reading you have selected. Write down the date at the top of a clean page as you begin your daily meditation. Keep in mind that you are searching for a deeper knowledge of God. Jot down any thoughts that occur to you as you read and ponder. Try to end your meditation with some sort of resolution for action on your part.
Don’t be distressed if you don’t at first have much to write down. As you persevere in this discipline, your subconscious will begin to cooperate with your reason, and you will find that your reflections will become increasingly fruitful.
