The St. Peter’s Men’s Group held their regularly scheduled September meeting at Horne’s Restaurant on September 8th, with seven members in attendance. Helmut Linne von Berg gave the Devotional based on the subject of Patience. Patience is one of Ben Franklin’s thirteen virtues and it is one of the dissected roots of the Spirit. A lively discussion followed about how do people today exercise patience in a world that becomes more fast-paced almost daily.
After breakfast, the group agreed to meet on Sunday, September 16th at 4:00 pm at the Reynolds Shelter to clean up the area for the Gospel On The Rivah which will begin the same day at 5:00pm. In addition to some cleaning, some picnic tables might need to be moved to the lower level to make room for the tables and chairs. Each of the men will bring a bottle of wine and and their wives will bring finger food for the refreshments after the singing.
In October, the ECM will meet on Saturday the 13th at Horne’s at the usual time. The devotional will be given by David Beck.
