ECM Meeting April 14, 2012

The ECM convened it’s regularly scheduled meeting at Horne’s Restaurant on Saturday, April 14th, with nine members in attendance.

David Beck lead the morning devotional and it dealt with what Easter means to us individually. He discussed the Pharisee Nicodemus and his seeking of Jesus out to learn about the Kingdom of God. He read from John 3:1, verses 1 through 21, and another passage later in John. David’s presentation was profound and stimulated a good group discussion. The group came to understand that when individuals were thrown out of the Temple for one reason or another, they were further ostracized by all members of the community as well.

The group discussed plans for a first year anniversary of the ECM, to be celebrated with an informal dinner in June, date and place to be determined and announced at the May meeting on May 12th. In addition to dinner, time will be devoted to accomplishment made in the first year and possible projects to be undertaken in year two. All men attending St. Peter’s Church are invited to attend the Anniversary meeting. – Bill Wick
